Theyyam is one of the most ancient and unique forms of divine worship in North Kerala. In the sacred spaces of temples and groves, faith, music, fire, and devotion come together to create a deeply spiritual experience. Adorned with vibrant colors and elaborate costumes, and accompanied by powerful rhythms of percussion instruments, the performer transforms into the very embodiment of a deity. This mesmerizing spectacle is a distinctive tradition that allows one to truly experience the soul of North Kerala.

Explore the royal heritage of Kannur and artifacts of the Kolathiri dynasty.

Witness the famous Muthappan Theyyam.
05:30 PM – Visit Neeliyar Kavu
A traditional sacred grove known for Theyyam performances.
